Government of India in 1950 to ensure a steadly flow of skilled workers in diferent trades for the domestic industries to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by systematic training to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employment training . The scheme the most important in the field of vocattional training has been shaping craftment to meet the existing as well as future manpower need through the vast network of ITIs in the various states and union terriotories in the country. The day to day administration of ITIs under the craftmen training scheme was transfered to the state Government/union terrioroty administration with effect the year 1956.


1.    To ensure a steadly flow of skilled workers in different trades for industry.

2.,    To raise the quality and quantity of Industrial production by systematic training of workers.

3.    to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by equipping them for suitable industrial employment.


                                        APPRENTICE SCHEME

      Passed the craftmen training in several trades candidated has been selected as apprentice under apprenticeship act-1961 for industry period of one year or tow years. IN the industry employer has paid to each apprentice during the period of apprenticeship training. Every trade apprentice who has completed the period of training shall appear for a test to be conducted by the National Council for Vocational trades.

        Candidates has been selected on merit base of entrance exam conducted by Vyavasayik Priksha Parishad Lucknow.


(I)    Sales of forms in February - March month and Exam has been conducted in the month of May.

(ii)    Training session: Session of training starts from Ist August every year.

(iii)   Age:-  Age should be complete 14 and not to exceed 25 years.

(iv)    Health: Candidates should be fit phsycologically and physically.

(v)     Reservation:- Under U.P. Govt. Reservation order.


        Stipend has been alloted to 10% of whole sanctioned seats to General, B.W. Caste candidates @ 40/- P.M.

        Stipend has been alloted to S.C. and S.T. Candidates 100% by District Welfare officer @ 60/- P.M.

TRAINING FEES; Training fees in Rs. 40/- P.M. for General and Backword Caste Candidates. No monthly fees for S.C. and S.T. candidates.
